Objective:
The
students will classify animals born alive vs. animals
which hatch from eggs.

Procedure
-
Before
reading the books, brainstorm with the children all
the animals they can think of that hatch from eggs and
all the animals they can think of that are born
alive. List these on the chalkboard or on chart
paper.

Read the
Ruth Heller books.
-
Now have the
children add to the list any animals they did not
think of before the reading.

Pass out the
Animal
Classifying Worksheet and have the students
complete it.
