Art Lesson
for Pizza Day
Objective:
The students will create a pizza
utilizing a variety of art materials.
|
Materials
-
Paper
plates or round pieces of poster board
-
Red
paint
-
A
variety of materials to serve as "the
toppings". Examples being, shredded paper
or yarn for cheese, buttons or round paper for
pepperoni, brown tissue paper for mushrooms, etc.

Procedure
-
Pass
out the paper plates or poster board (to be "the
crust").

Have
the students put the red paint on for the sauce.

They
may then add their desired "toppings" to
create their pizza.

Other
Lesson Ideas
-
Have
the students design and create a pizza box top on a
large piece of cardboard. This lesson may be
combined with the Language
Arts Lesson for creating their own pizza shop name
and slogan.
