Beaufort County Public Library (Beach Sand) - Good background information for the teacher on what beach sand is and where it comes from.

2 Care 4 Kids - Beach theme ideas for young children.

Monterey Bay Aquarium - Presents material and offers photographs on both beach and dune habitats.

Office of Naval Research - Great information, diagrams, and photographs on beach habitats.  The information will need to be simplified for younger children.

Sand Castle Central - This site will lead you to photographs of some amazing sand sculptures!
