Lesson
for Chameleon Day
Objective:
The
students will use a collage method to create a chameleon.
|
Materials
- Torn pieces of tissue
paper (if not available, use construction paper
scraps)
- Glue
- Plain white paper
- Crayons, paint, or colored
pencils
- Chameleon
Printout (if desired) copied on to white
construction paper.

Procedure
- Demonstrate using torn
pieces of tissue paper to fill in a space.
- Pass out the white paper
or the Chameleon
Printout.
- Have the students create
their own chameleon by using torn pieces of tissue
paper.
- Have the students use the
medium of their choice (paint, crayons, etc.) to
create a background for the chameleon. Discuss
how they can camouflage the chameleon by creating a
background similar to the chameleon colors they have
chosen.
