for Cookie Day
Objective:
The students will create a painting
or drawing using cookie cutters.
|
Materials
|
Procedure
-
Instruct
the students to create a picture using cookie cutters
as a means to apply paint or to trace with a writing
utensil.
-
Provide
the students with paint in paint trays and cookie
cutters to dip into the paint. Students may then
choose to use the cookie cutters in paint or to trace
the cookie cutters with markers, crayons, or colored
pencils.

Allow
the students to be creative as they wish in creating
pictures using the cookie cutters.

The
students may fill in the background and detail of
their painting with regular paint brushes, markers,
colored pencils, or crayons.

Other
Lesson Ideas
-
Have
the students create "cookie jars" out of
oatmeal containers.

The
students may "paint" cookies by using the
following link: PBS.
-
Have
the students create a box for a newly developed
cookie. The packaging should contain the name of
their cookie, slogan, and colorful design.
